30 St Mary Axe is the address. The Gherkin is what most people call it due to its striking architectural design. Designed by world re-knowned Norman Foster and Partners it is one of London’s most unique and prestigious new landmarks and has been the talk of the City since it’s opening in May 2004.
This is an iconic experience not to be missed. The view from the glass dome at the top of the building is simply breathtaking. A real feast for the senses. If the view is the starter then the main course is the sublime two-level private restaurant and bar available exclusively for the use of tenants of the building. Both levels combined are available to hire for memorable events, dinners or drinks receptions.
And if that was not enough, naturally, there are Private Dining Rooms to be able to make your guests feel even more special.
At 180m tall, 30 St Mary Axe is the second tallest building in the City and one of the most exciting elements to holding an event at 30 St Mary Axe is the 360-degree panorama over London. This certainly adds to the exclusive experience and provides guests with an unforgettable view of some of the world’s most famous landmarks.
And in 2007, The Gherkin won the “COOL venue awards”. Judged by a panel of well-known and successful figures, the awards focus on venues that have “Charisma, Originality, Style, Innovation, Sex Appeal, Authenticity, and Uniqueness”. And we have it in abundance!
Could there possibly be a better place to dine with friends, entertain colleagues, launch a new product or start married life?
