Alaska comes to Searcys with 10 years sound Human Resources experience within Food Service/Manufacturing, Retail and the Hospitality sectors.
She commenced her Human Resources career with the Melia Hotel based in Regents Park and soon moved on to take on her first HR Management role at Maison Blanc looking after a 500 strong work force. Following 3 years of service at MB she moved on to IKEA as Store HR Manager. She later returned to the food sector taking on the HR Controllers position within Greencore Sandwiches, UK’s largest sandwich manufacturer.
Alaska has a practical approach to operational/commercial HR which reflects a hands-on pragmatic style and culture. Her leadership style is personal but authoritative, results-focused and constructively challenging which makes a positive contribution to the employment climate.
